About Me
Third generation broadcaster. Started working part-time for my grandfather in 1982. He and my grandmother built the WVRQ-Viroqua stations in 1958 (WISV-AM) and 1967 for FM (WGBM) after having been part-owner of stations in Ohio. Also worked part-time in the 80s and 90s for WKBH and WLSU in LaCrosse, Wi, along with Quality Audio Broadcast Services, in LaCrescent, Mn.
Parents purchased stations in 1985. My father, David was a member of IBIB sometime in the 1990s. Purchased Prairie du Chien stations WPRE (now WQPC & WPRE) from original owner Walter Schlaugat in February 1998. Purchased CP for WKAH (now WKPO) in 2008. Built the station and signed on in June 2009. Added translators in 2014, 2016 and 2021. Replaced David as IBIB reporting member sometime in 2011.
Fourth generation daughter, Lily began working part-time in 2016.
