About Me
I originally got into the IBIB in 2002 and was proposed by membership by Cary Simpson. Cary urged me to always try and contribute something and made me aware that all members of the IBIB were doing what I was doing. I was nervous being at that first meeting....being in a meeting room in my late 20's in a room full of people who knew a lot more about broadcasting than me....but over the years it's become a great group to be associated with, from which I've learned a lot and to which I've tried to give what I could. I got into radio at 16, like many in the IBIB, and caught the broadcasting bug. I was an automation cart jockey, a disc jockey, and then got into sales, management and ownership by the time I was 27. I've worked in AC, Alternative, Country, Classic Hits and Classic Rock.

Originally from Corning, NY but have lived in Algorta, Basque Country, Spain, Tioga, PA, Chambersburg, PA, Dushore, PA and Factoryville, PA.
My Market
We're in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, PA market. This market is different than most in that it's a sprawling market of 5 counties in which none of the stations, even the class B's can cover the whole market. I'm in this market with IBIB member Joe Reilly, and we have barely any overlap in our coverage areas. In our market we're seen as the 'oldies' station....I'm glad we've been able to maintain this position, because it seems like every single group in this market has a station that plays most of our library.
My Stations
We're classic hits....which now-a-days means we're playing music from the late 60's through about 1994. We do all local voicetracking by voicetrackers who are in this market. We have our main studio at one end of the market (in Tunkhannock) and a satellite office in Hazleton at the other end of the market. We have a locally produced Beatles Show, a Sinatra show and also a Polka Show....Northeast PA loves to Polka! The station is made up of 2 AM stations, 1 FM station which isn't technically in the market, based on it's city of license, and 5 translators which cover Tunkhannock, Clarks Summit/Scranton, Wilkes-Barre and Hazleton, PA.
