About Me
Started my radio career at 2bs Bathurst, three hours west of Sydney in December 1977. Full time work started in August of 1978 as a Trainee Technician and Panel Operator, Announcer, Journalist, Music Director, Program Director, Station Manager and General Manager followed. I left Bathurst Broadcasters after 42 years in December 2019 following a change of ownership. I loved the parochialism that comes from local commercial radio. 2bs and B-Rock provided the perfect opportunity to show our pride for our community. Other interests are cycling - road and track and I am a singer / songwriter and have a band project called "Dried Arrangement". I now live in Wollongong, one hour south of Sydney in an apartment near the beach and at this point in time I am working as a Major Research Investments Officer with the University of Wollongong.
My Market
Bathurst's largest employer is education. It has a very diverse economic base also featuring manufacturing, farming and strong retail. Population 45,000 with 120,000 people within 50 miles.
