About Me
Grew up in a small market radio family. Was running the board as a kid and worked at station part time as student until graduated college. Got to play football in college and for a few years after, then headed to big city and started an advertising business instead of going back to my roots. I learned a lot but regret not immediately going into radio business...In 2019 had opportunity to move back to my home state of Arkansas and get stations for myself. Love it! Have 4 stations in SE Arkansas Delta. Everyday is an adventure, but just like when I was a kid, local community radio with lots of local and regional news and information has cemented us into the community. Was and is not easy. 3 of the 4 stations had been dark for 15 years before turning back on a couple years before I got them.
I am happily married to Stephanie for 27 years and we have 3 grown kids.
My Market
Pine Bluff Arkansas and the SE Arkansas Delta is not growing. In fact just the opposite, unfortunately.
It is a very diverse area demographically. Main county has just over 50k population and the surrounding counties we cover add up to about equal that.
My Stations
4 stations all FM...no huge signal...2 class A's and 2 C-3s. We operate under the Deltaplex Radio Network banner. We do local news and info on all stations. Each of the 4 stations has a high school associated with it for sports broadcasts. 4 music formats. Urban AC (older and softer than some stations do) , Classic country, Oldies from 60-80s with news and info emphasized, even more than the other 3 stations and AC.
