About Me
I went to school at William Jewell College in Liberty Missouri to study communications. I had several jobs at various stations and levels. My first major break came when I became the GM at KRMO Cameron Radio Inc. This was purchased by Shepard Broadcasting in 1978 and I worked for Mr. Shepard. It was sold and I was asked to transfer into Moberly and work for KRES. I decided to go to Kansas City and work for the KANSAS CITY STAR.
I later went on to help with a new division in Walmart called Sam's. My job began as customer data management, my last position, was store setup coordinator. I was on the ground in the city where the new store was placed. I was given a building and told to bring to life by a given date.
It was at this time Anheuser Busch took notice and hired me to start a new division in Kansas City called Eagle Snack. In April of 1997 August Busch elected to shut down the division and I went to work as Vice President of Operations for a large chemical company in Wichita Kansas. I left that company and bought these radio station in Southwest Missouri in 2003.
I first soloed on July 21st 1969. I drove the tractor to the airport because I was 13 years old. I am a commercial pilot, flight and ground instructor and in April 2022 i got a Seaplane rating as a bucket list item.
