About Me
I started my radio sales career in 1983 at KXRB and KIOV in Sioux Falls SD. In 1991 I took a job as Sales Manager at one of Dean Sorenson's stations in Yankton SD. In 2001, I accepted the General Manager position at KNEN in Norfolk NE. In 2007 I partnered with Dean Sorenson and another South Dakota Broadcaster by the name of Duane Butt to purchase a couple of CP's in Aberdeen SD. Over the years this partnership grew to owning 15 radio stations. Two in South Dakota under Dakota Broadcasting and 13 more stations in Iowa and Minnesota under Community First Broadcasting. At the end of 2023 my wife, Terri, and I purchased the share of the company owned by Dean and Duane. We're proud that two of our kids have joined us in the business. Our daughter Lisa is our accountant and our son Scott works in our tech and engineering department.
